Beretta m9 vs glock 19

I took a two day action pistol class with it last year during dry summer heat, and it never failed through hundreds of rounds that includes dropping empty mags in the dry, dusty dirt, then reloading them and using them again and again. If I were to own only one pistol, it would be the P226. I have a stainless Sig P226 and it is the most accurate and pleasant shooting pistol I've ever shot or owned and that includes my HK USP Compact 9. I think it's "elegant", Italian-style, and a totally proven design. I like the controls on it and everything about it.

military converting from the 1911 but the Beretta is a fine pistol. There are those who still grumble about the U.S. My Beretta 92 is the first 9mm pistol I ever bought mine was made in Italy and I've owned it for a long, long time-it's a 92SB. In short, although I'm not LEO, I would trust my life to any of them any time. Not only that, they're all plenty accurate enough. (I used to own a G19 but it didn't fit my hand.) I don't think any of them are finicky about ammo and they all go bang when you pull the trigger every time. I own all three, except my Glock is a G17 Gen 4. I love all of three of them, and they're all great service pistols, but I'll always be a Sig Sauer fan at heart.Ĭongratulations: you've narrowed your choices down to three of the finest pistols in the world. Only minus is that I get the occasional spent casing flung into my face- but no big deal. The gun is awesome straight out of the box.

Fits my hand like a glove great accuracy and ergos great trigger- dropped in a SS guide rod for some extra weight up front and I can rapid fire this thing all day. After using all metal guns, I was really dubious about a "plastic gun". I would have loved to have had this gun when I was in, it's the best 9mm pistol for the money. I will always have a P226.ģ) Glock 19 (Gen 3)- this was the first handgun I purchased as a civvie so it hasn't been dropped and kicked in the dirt and dropped in mud and water. Should've done the trigger ages ago- makes the gun perfect.

The stock trigger is fine but the reset was a bit long for me so I had SIG install an SRT when I sent it back to Exeter for its 5K round service. Superbly accurate unquestionable reliability in adverse conditions and excellent ergos. Some people have had good luck with these guns, I am not one of them.Ģ) SIG Sauer P226- when I could dump my M9 and had a choice of sidearms I went to the SIG. Didn't like the trigger on this gun either- especially the DA pull. I had the crappy Checkmate mags which didn't help (in desperation, I had my dad send out Mec-Gars to me). Like most things Italian made- looks great feels great shoots great accurate good ergos.when it works. I know that the price difference between the 3 guns is as much as ~$300 from the Glock to the Sig but wanted to see what people thought of these three guns and how you would rank them 1-3? any pros or cons for these guns? known/common issues? add-on support? thanks in advance!ġ) Beretta M9- issued one when I was in the military.
